Let's talk about the Acne Pistol boots, what do you think about them? I've tried them on a couple times and they are obviously cool, but the overprice factor made me see them too chunky, too high or too whatever could be an excuse not to buy them. But then they appeared, this low cost version in navy suede, perfect for my navy addiction and 10% the price of the original ones, score! I must say, seeing the use i'm giving to these bad boys, probably the cost per wear of the original Pistols would be quite reasonable... Back to the 'get-them-not-get-them' loop!

Hablemos de las Pistol de Acne, ¿qué opináis de ellas? Me las he probado un par de veces y, evidentemente, son muy cool, pero el factor precio siempre hacía que las viera demasiado bastas, demasiado altas o demasiado loquefuera que me sirviera de excusa para no comprarlas. Pero entonces aparecieron ellas, esta versión low cost en ante azul, perfectas para mi adicción al azul marino y al 10% del precio de las originales, ¡premio! Teniendo en cuenta el uso que les estoy dando, probablemente el coste por uso de las originales me saldría bastante razonable... Y volvemos al bucle comprarlas-o-no-comprarlas.

I've called this outfit 'the blues', but a friend told me i really looked like a 'french american lady'. I think it's because of the denim shirt and the turquoise complements mixed with the tweed, anyway i took it as a great compliment!

He llamado a este outfit 'the blues', pero un amigo me dijo que parecía una 'americanita afrancesada'. Supongo que será por la mezcla de vaquero, turquesas y tweed; de todas formas me pareció un cumplido bonito.

This is what i wore for the brunch for bloggers. I was asked a few times where to get one super cool t-shirt like mine, it's from my friends' band Fast Forward, you can (and should) like it here .  The statement necklace added a bit of colour to the outfit and i'm so in love with it <3 !

Esto es lo que llevé al brunch de bloggers. La camiseta atrajo más de una mirada y varias personas me preguntaron dónde conseguir una, es del grupo de unos amigos que se llama Fast Forward, podéis (y debéis) megustearlo en su página de facebook aquí. El collar de coral añadía un toque de alegría al outfit y estoy profundamente enamorada de él <3.

VFW brunch for bloggers

Last thursday i attended the Valencia Fashion Week Brunch for Bloggers. A nice event hosted by Tendencias Magazine and Revlon Professional, where i had the chance to personally meet some of my favourite bloggers. We chatted about fashion, blogs and hair trends amongst other stuff, the Revlon team taught us how to use their star products and we enjoyed a great catering offered by Prats Fatjó.

Thanks to all the lovely team at Tendencias for the invitation, i had so much fun!

El pasado jueves fui invitada al Brunch de Bloggers de la Valencia Fashion Week ofrecido por Tendencias y patrocinado por Revlon Professional. Allí tuve la oportunidad de conocer personalmente, por fin, a muchas bloggers valencianas a las que hacía tiempo que seguía la pista, así como a las chicas de Tendencias que son encantadoras. Charlamos sobre moda, blogs y tendencias de peluquería entre otras muchas cosas, el equipo de Revlon nos enseñó cómo usar sus productos estrella y degustamos un estupendo catering de Prats Fatjó.

Muchas gracias al equipo de Tendencias por la invitación, fue un rato genial.

What i missed the most when i was in Berlin was not the Spanish food or the weather, but the sea. I never thought i could miss it so bad. The sensation of sitting on the sand on a cloudy day, just thinking, reading or listening to music (that day it was Arcade Fire) can't be compared to anything. I really wish i could bring it with me the next time i go to Berlin. And well, some of the mediterranean sun or my mum's paella could be useful too!

Lo que más echaba de menos cuando estaba en Berlín no era la comida española ni el clima, sino el mar. Nunca pensé que pudiera añorarlo tanto. La sensación de sentarse en la arena en un día nublado pensando, leyendo o escuchando música (ese día fue Arcade Fire) no es comparable con niguna otra. Me encantaría poder llevármelo la próxima vez que vuelva a Berlín. Y bueno, un poco de sol mediterráneo o paella de mamá ¡tampoco vendría mal!

Probably by now you all know i study engineering which is a field with a high ratio of men, so i spend a lot of time talking to boys about this and that. But the definition of this and that has had a really weird evolution lately and i seem to be surrounded by sartorialists. Friends saying things like "oh your pearl necklace is SO vintage looking", "with that beanie and that sweater you look like you came straight from the american vintage lookbook" or "today i'm sporting a canadian tuxedo" (this one made me laugh hard for a good while) have become normal in my daily life. And seriously guys, you're lovely and i adore you, it's great that you pay attention to our clothes, our hair and makeup but you're taking it too far and i'm starting to worry. I never thought i would say this but, please, can we talk about football again?
And girls out there, do you have the same problem as me? are your men a little bit too girlified too?

Probablemente a estas alturas todos sepáis que estudio ingeniería, lo que hace que pase muchas horas entre hombres hablando de esto y aquello. Pero la definición de esto y aquello ha evolucionado de una manera muy curiosa últimamente y parece que vivo rodeada de sartorialists. Amigos diciendo cosas como "tu collar de perlas es MUY rollo vintage", "con ese suéter y ese gorrito pareces sacada del lookbook de american vintage" u "hoy es que estoy probando el canadian tuxedo" (esta última me provocó un ataque de risa bastante largo) se han convertido en algo de lo más normal en mi vida. En serio chicos, sois adorables y os quiero mucho, es genial que prestéis atención a nuestra ropa, peinados y maquillaje pero esto se os está yendo de las manos y voy a tener que preocuparme. Nunca pensé que diría esto pero, por favor, ¿podemos volver a hablar de fútbol?
Chicas del mundo, ¿tenéis el mismo problema que yo? ¿están vuestros hombres sacando su parte femenina un poco más de lo esperado?

There's something about masculine inspired fashion that can make you feel so feminine. Or even better, real men's fashion. I really love borrowing shirts, tees or cardigans from the men in my life. When i don't know what to wear in the morning to go to college, the easiest option is to throw on an oversized jumper and add a pair of shorts and ballet flats to make it a little bit more me. And i must confess, not everything is borrowed, i also buy a lot in the masculine section of shops. I mean, zara men is a gold mine on sales! And hey, i'm on holidays now and ready to look for that gold!

Hay algo muy femenino en la moda de inspiración masculina, al menos así me hace sentir a mí. O incluso mejor, en la moda directamente masculina. No puedo evitar tomar prestadas camisetas, camisas o cardigans de los hombres de mi vida. Cuando no sé qué ponerme por la mañana antes de ir a clase, la opción más sencilla es coger un jersey masculino y añadir un par de shorts y bailarinas para hacerlo un poco más mío. Y debo confesar que no todo es prestado, me encanta comprar en la sección masculina de las tiendas. Por si no os habéis dado cuenta, ¡zara men es una mina de oro en rebajas! Y ahora que estoy de vacaciones ¡es el momento de buscar ese oro!
